My Background

Who am I?

Hey I'm Gemma, I have a loving husband who is very supportive, I'm Mum of three beautiful girls who have inspired me to be all that I am. I love socialising, meeting friends, taking my girls places and as well as being a cake maker I am an Inventory Clerk in property Lettings which I have been since 2013.

How did it start?

I started making cakes for family about 6 years ago after becoming obsessed with an American programme Cake Boss.. I've watched hours and hours of online tutorials, advice from fb groups, and taught myself to create all of these bespoke cakes you see on my page.

Why do I do it?

I would say I'm quite a creative person, always been interested in Art, I take it from my Mum! And to see and hear about people receiving my personalised bespoke edible art makes me so happy! I dream of owning my own home, hopefully within the next couple of years and building my dream kitchen ! Save save save!

Where do I do it?

In October 2020 I opened my own studio here on Portland, and I love it! Hoping this year to be able to start teaching others how I do it, and hosting some kids cupcake decorating parties as I'm sure there is nothing like this anywhere local. I do most my baking and decorating in the evenings when the little ones are in bed... So I never really stop , well I get about 5-6 hours sleep, this is my rest time .
